Marine Technologies has been chosen to deliver Integrated Bridge Systems to two double-ended ferries being built at Kleven Yard for Norwegian ferry operator Fosen Namsos. The unique solution comprises an operator chair, with two 17” workstations and manoeuvre levers, that turns 180 degrees when the ferry changes direction, with graphics and lever functions adapting accordingly. The IBS includes a positioning system with Auto Crossing, a speed control function that optimises the power consumption, a very important feature for these all electric ferries, and an automatic docking & undocking function (autonomous).
