Frode graduated from the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy in 1981. He also holds a Master of Nautical Science from the University of Trondheim (1986), and an Executive Master of Business Administration – Shipping and Logistic from Copenhagen Business School (2007).
Over the years Frode has held numerous top management positions in various companies and organizations in Norway and abroad, all within the maritime and offshore area. He built up the Navigation Section at the Navy’s Headquarter in Bergen (HNoMS Tordenskjold) from 1986 to 1992, training naval officers in Navigation and Bridge Resource Management. From 92-96 he worked with DnV Classification Society where he from 94 was responsible for Classification of Ships and Certification of Automation, Navigation and Integrated Bridge Systems, and heavily involved in standardization work in IMO, IHO and IEC.
In September 1997 Frode became the Director of the Norwegian Hydrographic Service (NHS). As Director of NHS he was responsible for the most extensive upgrading ever of the maritime geographic information infrastructure along the Norwegian coast. From 1997 to 2007 NHS combined internal production with an unprecedented outsourcing of production of paper charts, ENCs and surveying to private industry. Frode was the President of the XVIth International Hydrographic Conference in Monaco in 2002, and was Chariman of the IHO Strategic Planning Working Group (SPWG) from 2002-2007.
December 1, 2007 he became the Vice President of Marine Technologies LLC (MT), with the responsibility for Business Development. In January 2010 he moved to Singapore to build up the company’s business operations in Asia, MT-Marine Technologies Pte Ltd. In August 2010, he also became Sales Director for MT’s worldwide operations.
As of 1 November 2016 Sinor Marine Technologies Pte Ltd, a Singapore registered company of whom Frode is the Managing Director and main shareholder, took over the responsibility for all Sales, Service and Training in Asia and Oceania for Marine Technologies LLC.
Sigve holds a Bachelor in Finance and Administration from Curtin University in Pert, Australia and University of Stavanger, Norway. After graduating in 2012 Sigve first worked for a renowned fashion brand retailer, Capone (representing Tiger amongst others), in Sales and Customer Support. Since 2013, Sigve has worked with Nor-marine in Shanghai as Business Development Manager. Representing 10 Norwegian renowned manufacturers of ship equipment, ranging from high end maritime electronics like Cargo Control and Monitoring Systems and Integrated Bridge Solutions and Dynamic Positioning Systems, to helideck fire fighting systems to Norsok rated davits, he has gained indebt knowledge about the Norwegian maritime industry and the offshore customer segments in particular. Even more significantly, he has gained invaluable knowledge and experience about the Chinese business traditions and how to build close relations between the Chinese and Norwegian business environments.
Sigve will continue serving both Nor-marine and Sinor Marine Technologies in the capacity as Business Development Manager, thereby enhancing the profile of both companies and our presence in the Chinese market in particular.
Sean has more than 20 years experiences as a Hydraulic Engineer & Sales in the offshore and marine industries and hold a Diploma in Business Administration.
He started off as a Hydraulic Sales Engineer and has been working for a Parker Hannifin and Hydac manufacturer. He has extensive knowledge about hydraulic systems, including how to do detailed troubleshooting.
Through many years in sales he has acquired strong sales skills and inter-personal abilities.
Sean joined Sinor Marine Technologies as a Sales Manager in 2019. Taking on products such as Vestdavit Davit systems and Servogear Controllable Pitch Propulsion system, as well as PMH for the Hydraulic / EL-motor tunnel thruster systems.
Samba has been in Maritime & Offshore Industry for more than 12 years. He started his career as Service Engineer focusing on Installation, Commissioning & Servicing of Radio, Navigation, and Communication & Automation system.
In Feb 2013, He joined MT-Marine Technologies Pte Ltd in Singapore as a Service Engineer and took responsibility of Commissioning, Service, Training & Remote Support of Marine Technologies products in South East Asia and Middle East.
In November 2016, He joined Sinor Marine Technologies Pte Ltd (Sinor) as a Service Engineer.
In Jan 2021, He was promoted as a Service Manager in Sinor and took additional responsibility of managing Service in Asia & Oceania.
His Knowledge covers Dynamic Positioning, Integrated Bridge System, Thruster Control System, Radio , Navigation, & Communication system.
Xu Lei graduated from Shanghai Maritime University. He has 15 years experience in offshore industry, specially DP system. He is also a State certificated engineer of Ship Engineering. Certificated of Project Management Professional by PMI.
Xu Lei joined MT-Marine Technologies Pte Ltd in 2011 and joined Sinor Marine Technologies Pte Ltd when it was established in 2016. He has office in Shanghai and covers all of China. During his years in MT and Sinor, Xu Lei has commissioned tens of DPs, TCHS and IBS in China, Korea and elsewhere in Asia.

Soo Hoo joined SMT on 1 September 2021 as Technical Sales Manager, where he will be working on all our vessel control systems and solutions, e.g. IBS, DP, THCS and so on.
Soo Hoo graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University Of Bradford, United Kingdom in 1998. He also holds a Diploma in Electronics Engineering from INTi College, Malaysia in 1996. He started off as a Development Support Engineer and has more than 15 years of working experience in the Electrical & Electronics industry including Manufacturing, New Product R&D, Project Management, Process Control & Integration as well as Sales & Marketing. Soo Hoo has developed strong interpersonal and conversation skills through years of liasing with multidisciplinary teams, stake holders, principles and customers. Has participated, managed and successfully completed numerous cross continental development projects.
